Time Out Youth

Time Out Youth offers support, advocacy and opportunities for personal development and social interaction to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, ages 11 through 20, in the greater Charlotte, NC, area.

Trevor Project

​Through legislation, litigation, and public education, The Trevor Project advocates for policies that help prevent suicide among LGBTQ+ young people. This includes advancing policy reforms at the federal, state, and local level to address factors that place them at a significantly higher risk of suicide.

Define American

Define American empowers diverse and nuanced storytelling about immigrant experiences across mediums and industries through research, partnerships, and storyteller engagement. Founded in 2011 by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and Tony-nominated producer Jose Antonio Vargas, our work is helping audiences see all immigrants with their full humanity.

U.S Committee for Refugees and Immigrants

The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), established in 1911, is a nongovernmental, not-for-profit international organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants. USCRI, working with its affiliates, provides legal services, social, and health services to refugees, unaccompanied migrating childrentrafficking survivors, and other immigrants in all 50 states, El SalvadorHonduras, Kenya, and Mexico. USCRI advocates for the rights of refugees and immigrants both nationally and globally, helping to drive policies, practices and law.

Immigration Equality

Immigration Equality and the Immigration Equality Action Fund have a robust legislative and administrative advocacy program to make lasting changes in our immigration system.

Each year, we connect over 750 LGBTQ and HIV-positive asylum seekers with pro bono attorneys, help secure freedom for detained asylum seekers, and provide thousands more individuals with legal inquiries and referrals.

Through our impact litigation, we seek to change discriminatory policies affecting LGBTQ and HIV-positive people. Ourr aim is to get rulings that are far-reaching and improves the lives of our community on a large scale.​

Meals on Wheels has been guided by a single goal since the first known U.S. delivery by a small group of Philadelphia citizens in 1954 – to support our senior neighbors to extend their independence and health as they age. What started as a compassionate idea has grown into one of the largest and most effective social movements in America, currently helping nearly 2.2 million seniors annually in virtually every community in the country.

We believe all people know how to best care for their own bodies and build their own families. And we’re committed to ensuring the conversation about racial, economic, and reproductive justice includes the people most affected by the barriers to abortion access.

 

Urgent Action Fun

Urgent Action Fund for Feminist Activism provides fast, flexible support to women, trans and non-binary activists so that they can respond to unexpected risks and opportunities, protect and care for themselves and one another, and nurture feminist movements that are creating a more just and equitable world.

Kessler Foundation

With the support of donors, Kessler Foundation drives positive change for people with disabilities. Kessler Foundation conducts groundbreaking rehabilitation and disability employment research and fund innovative initiatives to provide access to job opportunities. The Foundation bears the name of Henry H. Kessler, MD, PhD, who founded Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation to help people with disabilities regain function and achieve maximum independence.
