What do you really need?
Safety should always be your first priority. Protests can be long and physically taxing; and everyone’s limits are different.
Protester Safety
First aid
A basic first aid kit will go a long ways. Pack things like; Bandages, Antibiotic cream, Wound cleaning pads or liquid, Painkillers, and fruit juice for anyone diabetic.

You can of course expand on this to be even more prepared, but these basics will help you and others in most situations.
Snacks and Water
Since protests can be long and some include marching, you’ll want to make sure you can take care of your body to lessen the chance of needing more serious attention.

Bring some light but healthy snacks that can easily fit in your pack. Don’t forget your water! Many others may not bring things like this for themselves, so if you’d like bring extra to help out your community.
Protecting your identity
Some of us may be fine with having our identity and actions know. For others you are who we protest for and are being targets by people with true hate for you. As sad as it is this is a reality.

If you wish to remain anonymous while making a difference for the world here’s the basics.

Wear a mask to cover your face, cover your hair, make sure any distinguishing scars or tattoos are covered, and otherwise wear comfortable clothing.
