This Rally is being held on the 81st Anniversary of D-Day in Support of Veterans who are holding a National Rally in DC on June 6th. This is a part of a Nationwide effort, organized by the “United for Veterans Coalition” and “50501Vets” along with grassroots support through the National Movement 50501. The goal is to support Veterans during this turbulent administration amid funding cuts that target resources many Veterans depend upon daily.
This is first and foremost a peaceful and nonpartisan event. Violence of ANY kind will NOT be tolerated. The theme is “Defend The Constitution”. We have a local Veteran scheduled to speak during this event.
We will gather near the Bandstand/Gazebo.
1. DO NOT Block traffic or any parking spaces.
2. DO NOT block entrances to ANY buildings or businesses.
3. Please feel free to bring signs with supportive messages, please do NOT use any profanity!
4. DO bring your US Flags and wave them proudly. This is our flag and our Veterans have fought to defend it. Please show this symbol the respect it deserves.
5. Bring water as it may be hot.
6. This event is Rain or Shine provided there’s not severe weather or thunderstorms ongoing during the event time. So be prepared for possible wet weather.
7. There’s additional parking usually available on the corners of Andrews and Laurel Streets, just one block east of the Courthouse.
